Interdiscipline is the key to design – Arik Levy

Arik Levy was the guest of honor at Stockholm Furniture Fair 2011 and one of the participants of the seminar Closing the Material Gap at Berns. Arik Levy is a kind of “jack of all trades” but with a clear focus on design. He runs the company LDesign in Paris and conceives many more dimensions of design as a craft than most people do.

Arik Levy has a width and energy that both captivates and challenges an audience. In an interview with Swedish Design, Levy tells that he has always worked interdisciplinary although it is an expression that applies today more than before.

We met Arik Levy in a conversation about design, sustainability, the relationship of research and design, of information overload and of his future plans. Watch this wide-ranging conversation.
