Together with the International Entrepreneur Association in Sweden (IFS), Axfoundation invited the Maytree Foundation’s charismatic director Ratna Omidvar and Catherine Winter to talk about Maytree’s working methods and to explore interest in a Swedish version of their award-winning program DiverseCity OnBoard. The seminar was held in 2014. In 2011 and 2012 the Maytree Foundation in Canada received the UN’s Intercultural Innovation Award for its efforts to increase diversity in the workplace. Canada is a leader when it comes to integration issues, recognizing the need for and business benefits of taking advantage of immigrant skills.
